Lori joined LifeLine Pilots in February 2009.  She received her Associate’s Degree from Illinois Central College and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Lori worked for five years in biomedical research at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.  She has been an active volunteer for the past 7 years with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), increasing funds and awareness for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. As Volunteer Coordinator for LLP, Lori plans to increase awareness of LLP’s mission in the local community and recruit potential donors and dedicated volunteers who will help further our mission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Karen Halverson
Executive Director

Karen joined LifeLine Pilots in February 2003.  She has an Elementary Education degree from Illinois State University.  Before working with LifeLine Pilots, Karen was involved with various types of case management for foster care children and adults with developmental disabilities.  As Executive Director, she is responsible for all marketing material that represents the organization’s mission.  Karen coordinates outreach efforts so that key referral sources and pilot recruitment opportunities can be utilized. She also assists with mission coordination.

In January 2008, Shelly became a part of the LifeLine Pilots' team. With a kind heart and warm smile, Shelly pulls together needy passengers with generous pilots to make getting to necessary medical treatment distant from home a simple process.
